Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons)
STOTT PILATES ® Certified Instructor ( Mat and Reformer)
Sabrina graduated with a bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. She chose the field because it is a people-oriented job. During her clinical postings, she was exposed to many different specialties, but she enjoyed geriatric and paediatric the most.
After graduation, she had the privilege to learn Pilates and she discovered that it approaches exercise in a mindful and controlled way. Being a physiotherapist, she found her vocation synergised by Pilates and realised they work wonder hand-in-hand. Without hesitation, she took up the instructor course with STOTT PILATES® and is now certified to teach STOTT PILATES® mat and reformer.
Being mostly sedentary since young, Sabrina used to be quite weak and stiff. She suffered from scoliosis which gave her back pain. After practising Pilates, her core gradually becomes stronger, and her spine turns out more flexible. This changed her posture and slowly correcting scoliosis. But the most important thing is, the back pain is gone!
Pilates has become part of Sabrina’s now. She engages her core naturally just like breathing and she believes Pilates is for all populations. Now that she witnessed how by simply using the right muscles to realign body posture helps her move around pain-free, she also wants to bring these changes to everyone she comes across. She hopes everyone can experience Pilates as she does.
Sabrina now deals more with clients suffering from back pain like she did. After making them aware of their own posture, she would guide them to stretch off the tight muscles and would follow by teaching proper core engagement. Most of her clients felt relieved instantly or within the first few session, and subsequently become her regular even after they are healed.
When Sabrina is not teaching, she spends her time with a lot of children. She actively serves in children's ministry in her church as she loves kids. She believes that they are the hope of the world for a better future. Besides, serving them keep her young and full of joy. If you are not in a hurry, talk with her next time after your session, you will be infected with her joy too!
